MEET THE TEAM

Richard Diaz

Founder

Richard is the founder of Blackcastle Sport and manages the contractual relationships with teams, series and drivers. Richard is an avid motorsport fan and has been for the past 20 years. His passion for the sport, coupled with his extensive commercial experience, has enabled Richard to further his interest by creating an innovative sports marketing agency.

Josh Sherry

Commercial Director

Josh manages and delivers the commercial strategy for the business. His primary focus is providing Blackcastle Sport’s clients and drivers with effective and innovative partnerships that deliver value and help achieve marketing, business and CSR objectives.

Jordan Robb

Partnership Sales Manager

Jordan is responsible for managing the partnership sales process, from relationship initiation and development through to delivering meaningful and driver lead partnership marketing campaigns for our clients.

Steve Hewett

Consultant

Steve Hewett has worked in the motorsport industry for his whole career, fulfilling in-house roles at McLaren Formula 1 team, winning Lewis Hamilton’s first World Championship and in Athlete Liaison for Alpinestars in NASCAR based out of Los Angeles, CA. He subsequently moved into the area of Driver Management and has negotiated race deals and attracted sponsorship for professional racing drivers in the FIA Formula E and Rallycross series, including Formula E World Champion, Nelson Piquet Jr.

Vickie Wardley

HR, Business Administration and Research Manager

Vickie is responsible for business administration, HR and our research and insight needs, ensuring Blackcastle Sport stays up-to-date with market trends and partnership opportunities.  She provides our clients with valuable data including viewing figures, social media reach and demographics.

James Marshall

Head of PR & Media

James brings with him a wealth of sports industry experience, working with some of the UK’s highest-profile organisations including Manchester United Football Club and The Football Association. He is responsible for communications strategy with his main objective to provide a first-class public relations service for all our clients.

Stephen Taylor-Heath

In-house Counsel

Stephen has over 20 years of experience in private practice for the sports industry. A partner at IPS Law, he is also General Counsel to Boxnation and has worked with Racing UK, Frank Warren Sports Network and Leeds United Football Club. Stephen advises Blackcastle Sport athletes on contracts, image rights and brand protection.

Samantha Waters

Digital Marketing Manager

Samantha is responsible for all of Blackcastle Sport’s digital channels including our website, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn pages. Samantha is instrumental in developing interesting and engaging social media / digital strategies for our clients, enabling them to activate digitally, drive engagement with the correct audiences and to maximise the value from their sports partnerships.

Tim Love

Partnership Activation Manager

Tim’s role is to ensure our clients derive maximum value from partnership agreements to help them achieve their business and marketing objectives. Through prime brand visibility, exposure and innovative content creation and distribution, Tim will ensure each business makes meaningful connections with its target audiences.
